Welcome To Jim Walker's Loose Cannon

"Life is a daring adventure or it is nothing at all," Helen Keller.

I’m really excited you’re here. I’ve spent the last 25 years in TV news reporting on everything from tornadoes to executions to aviation- all of it assigned and determined by assignment editors, news directors, ratings, focus groups and in some cases, even general managers.

Easter is about resurrection and new beginnings, and so today, I launch my new beginning. Now it's my turn. I get to share the things I find meaningful, important, enriching, and sometimes funny.

Who Is Jim Walker?

A loose cannon means someone who fires off exactly what they think without reservation- that’s exactly what you’ll see here.

Whether we’re talking about politics, sex, relationships, fitness, travel or the even latest swimsuits- you’ll get it "straight," here. Most of all, just like our active conversations on Facebook, I want to hear from you.

What’s your take the news of the day? Do you like Hawaii, or prefer the Caribbean? And who’s is the scariest Republican currently holding public office?

Funny or serious, we’ll talk about all that and more, all right here, all the time.

Special Note: I wish to thank my good friend and mentor, former CBS Early Show anchor Rene Syler turned mega blogger. I could not have done this without her! Please check out her blog as well at Good Enough Mother.
